Come Walk with Me

Come Walk with Me
Just the other day God said to me, “Come Walk with me.”
The surprise came as well as a tear.
I asked, “Where shall we walk?”
And He replied, “Wherever you are.”
I pondered His response for a moment or two,
As another tear welled up
And within my soul came a break through.
I then understood what He meant
As the chorus of an old hymn came to mind,
“He walks with me,
And He talks with me,
And He tells me, I am His own.
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
Now His meaning was clear that early morn,
He longs to relate and to talk
Not just weekends or when I have time.
Since He lives with us in our walk.
Each day with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
Three in one…
So there are four of us to share
Counting me.
As I walk with them,
The Trinity.
So I came away that day
With a new idea to pray
And walk with the Father and His son,
And the Holy Spirit, that’s four of us and we are sealed as one!
