As I gazed at the rose
\nI became so entranced,
\nA symbol of beauty
\nOf love and romance.
\nSuch simplicity it seemed
\nAs my eyes could not move
\nThe hypnotic effect
\nI am sure He’d approve.<\/p>\n
What struck me this time
\nWas the way that it gave
\nA different impression
\nAs wave after wave
\nOf my thoughts came flooding,
\nWashing o’er my soul
\nA new sense of feeling
\nAlmost out of control.<\/p>\n
My eyes became blurred,
\nAs I stared at this flower,
\nIn all God’s creation,
\nIt was meant for this hour.
\nThe tears I let flow
\nAs my heart seemed to fill
\nWith the beauty of its color
\nWhat a story it did tell.<\/p>\n
The richest of crimson
\nDid flow from the center
\nAnd splash to the very edge of the petal
\nIn contrast the bud vase was the greenest of green.
\nThe light of the sun brought out such vividness of color
\nThat I could not help but wonder about the eternal number of hues upon God’s palette.<\/p>\n
The feel of the rose
\n Was like the softest of velvets
\nWith the slightest of touch
\nEach pod of essence broke
\nAnd the aroma wafted ever so gently
\nUp into the nostrils of the Creator
\nAnd he is pleased.<\/p>\n
The essence was worship
\nThe color was the same
\nMy spirit could feel
\nThe praise of His name.
\nThat came from the rose
\nYou say that can’t be,
\nBut if rocks can cry out
\nThen a rose is as free
\nTo worship our Lord
\nThe one who created
\nI am sure for His pleasure
\nA rose so elated!<\/p>\n
As I gazed at the rose
\nE\u2019er so intently,
\nI knew why God did
\nCreate it so gently,
\nWith such detail
\nAnd majesty and power,
\nto praise and to honor
\nAnd to worship Him this hour.<\/p>\n
